Ah, Black Lagoon. A uniquely fun action anime that I enjoyed thoroughly. But this post is for the soundtrack review. To read my review of the actual anime,

Now, let's look at the soundtrack. Action demands speed, weight, and a thoroughly pumping soundtrack. It's just not as fun without a little hardcore music to back it up. I believe that Edison, who composed most of the music, did an
okay job. It's nothing quite spectacular on its own, but fit the show well, in both the peaceful and violent moments of the series. Listening to Edison's tracks separately from the show, however, the music is pretty mediocre and I can't imagine myself listening to it very often. Some of the songs get outright annoying, but thankfully I don't remember them being in the show. At least, for very long.
Now, like most music in anime, there's something holding the music back, even while watching the anime. In my experience, whenever the producers bring in some other band to do the music for the OP or ED, it's just nonsensical and asinine [for the best {worst} example of this, watch Meine Liebe] The OP theme fits the show, and it
could've been good, but man,
the vocals. Just listen and you'll hear what I mean, I hope :( [of course, that little waveplay bit at the end was just me messing around in Cool Edit :)]. Oh well, I guess the Japanese are into sheep or something.
What a horrible review.
